Stockdale, Hines Building Downtown Dallas Mixed-Use Project

Property owner Stockdale Investment Group is teaming up with developer Hines on a project in the Knox Street business district. The development will include an apartment high-rise, office tower, senior housing and retail. Three towers would replace several retail buildings located on the block between McKinney Avenue and U.S. Highway 75 at Armstrong Avenue. Stockdale Investment Group has owned the block for a decade and has been working with Hines for over a year on the plans.

An apartment tower with 300 units would face McKinney Avenue. A 250,000-square-foot office and a senior housing high-rise with 272 homes will front on North Central, as well as retail options, “On McKinney Avenue we are adding retail density – that’s where the neighborhood will be walking to,” said Stockdale’s Alex Johnson. “We fully expect to attract the best-in-class restaurants and community serving retail.”

Joining with Houston-based Hines, the developers hired New York-based architect Kohn Pedersen Fox and GFF of Dallas to design the complex.
