CBRE Brokers Davis R&D Lab Lease to Danish BioTech Firm

CBRE has arranged a 12,000-square-foot lease for 21st.bio A/S, a Denmark-based life sciences company, at the University Research Park in Davis, CA. It is the first U.S. location for the European firm.

Josh Nelson and Jason Goff of CBRE represented the tenant, while Jim Gray and Nahz Anvary of Kidder Mathews represented the landlord, URP Investors. “The professional support and strategic guidance from CBRE allowed us to move forward on this important endeavor for 21st.bio,” said Thomas Schmidt, Co-founder and CEO of 21st.bio.

“Life sciences and biotech activity in the San Francisco Bay Area has been robust, and this new lease in Davis underlines the growth of new hubs in Northern California. This location is ideally situated next to UC Davis, giving 21st.bio access to top talent in research and life sciences, while deepening the region’s expertise,” said Nelson in a news release.
