C-P Flexible Packaging Industrial Building Goes Solar
A manufacturing plant in Placentia, CA has received 440 solar panels, becoming one of the largest solar deployments in Orange County. It’s part of Pennsylvania-based C-P Flexible Packaging’s plan to power 50% of the company’s U.S facilities with solar energy by 2025. In addition to reducing C-P’s carbon footprint, utilizing solar power will reduce costs and support its continued growth.
“Harnessing solar power as a renewable energy source is consistent with our commitment to environmental responsibility,” said C-P’s CEO Mike Hoffman. “As an added benefit, we’ve found that utilizing solar power provides significant energy savings in the long term. Solar Power is truly a win-win, reducing our CO2 emissions while supporting our positions as one of the most cost-competitive flexible packaging converters in the U.S.”
The Placentia property, located at 1700 Barcelona Circle, is situated in an industrial section just north of the Highway 91 freeway.
