JV Acquires 17-Property Apartment Portfolio Across Brooklyn

Walker & Dunlop created the joint venture to acquire the Williamsburg Portfolio, an approximately 180-unit multifamily portfolio which spans 173,000 square feet across Williamsburg, Bushwick, Cobble Hill and Ridgewood. The JV of Corner Street Capital and Highpoint Property Group paid $167 million for the 17-building portfolio, according to published reports.

The bulk of the portfolio — 12 buildings — is in Williamsburg. Among the properties are 99 N. 4th St., 540 Driggs Ave., 183 Ainslie St., 209 Montrose Ave., 41 Skillman Ave. and 725 Metropolitan Ave.

A Walker & Dunlop team of Aaron Appel, Mo Beler, Jonathan Schwartz, Adam Schwartz and Keith Kurland brokered the JV equity. The sale was reportedly brokered by JLL’s Brendan Maddigan and Ethan Stanton.
