Former Dallas TV Ranch Now Home to Multifamily Community
It was once the location of the first five episodes of Dallas, but now the old Cloyce Box Ranch will be home to an apartment community. Dallas-based builder Trammel Crow Residential is planning an apartment development in November with the opening scheduled for summer 2024. It’s the second phase of a $118 million rental community which started going up in June. This project calls for 82 rental units in two- and three-story townhouse buildings at Coit Road and Eldorado Parkway.
Hensley Lamkin Rachel Inc. is the architect. The Dallas-based firm has designed several projects in North Texas.
At one time, the Brinkmann Ranch, as it’s called today, consisted of 5,000-plus acres at Preston Road and Main Street. It’s a vast parcel of land and is regarded as one of the largest vacant tracts in Frisco. In 2020, Plano-based Landon Development bought 637 acres of the ranch, which is on the west side of Coit Road between Main Street and Eldorado Parkway.
