Grand Prairie Getting Two Major Destination Attractions
Grand Prairie will soon be the site for a Bass Pro Shop and Andretti Indoor Karting and Games. Each plan to open a new destination attraction in Grand Prairie, right next to each other, on the east side of SH 161, just south of IKEA and north of I-20.
Andretti Indoor Karting and Games plans a 96,000-square-foot facility of its newest design that will feature an indoor climate-controlled kart track, arcade, virtual reality games, laser tag and duckpin bowling. Plans are to open by end of 2023. This will be the company’s second location in DFW and seventh nationwide.

Bass Pro Shops will build a new 100,000-square-foot retail store that will be the outdoor retailer’s fifth location in the region and 15th location in Texas. The new location is expected to open in the spring of 2024.
Grand Prairie Mayor Ron Jensen has more, “These two mega attractions are a perfect blend with Grand Prairie’s robust array of powerhouse retail, entertainment and tourist venues.”
