CBRE Brokers $33M Sale of Portland's Kimpton Hotel

CBRE Brokers $33M Sale of Portland’s Kimpton Hotel

SoCal-based Pacific Hotels has purchased the 117-room Kimpton Hotel Vintage Portland in Portland, OR for $33 million in a deal brokered by CBRE’s Chris Burdett, Matthew Behrens and Aaron Solaimani. The firm represented the seller, Pebblebrook Hotel Trust.

The Kimpton hotel was originally constructed in the late 1800’s, the historic property underwent a multimillion dollar makeover several years ago, and has several wine-themed characteristics including floors dedicated to different Willamette Valley viticultural areas and rooms named after local wineries. The property also features 8,000 square feet of event space, a restaurant, a private wine cellar and the hotel’s lobby doubles as a tasting room.

“Hotel Vintage Portland is an icon of downtown Portland. Pacifica Hotels is acquiring an irreplaceable property that withstood the test of the pandemic and produced positive cash flow in 2021 and continues to accelerate back to historic levels,” said Behrens, first VP of CBRE Hotels.
