Related Cos. Moving Forward on Two Austin Office Projects

Related Cos. is making a big splash with a 15-story high-rise on Ladybird Lake, as well as a boutique office building dubbed 901 South Congress that will take shape, mostly out of wood, in the South Congress District.

Designed by KPF, One Ladybird Lake will feature 475,000 square feet of flexible office space and 16,700 square feet of retail space on the ground floor. Related Cos. expects to break ground on the 15-story building in late 2023 and deliver it in 2025.

One Ladybird Lake will feature four wrap-around terraces, a penthouse bar, front-of-house facilities and a green roof equipped with solar panels.

Designed by Gensler, the 106,854-square-foot 901 South Congress will be five-stories tall with a terrace on each floor and will include street-level retail. Related Cos. plans to kick off construction this year and expects 901 South Congress to come online in 2024. The heavy use of wood during construction is expected to reduce the buildings carbon footprint by 40%.
