Avison Young Awarded Leasing Agency for New Tower in Washington Heights
Avison Young has been awarded the leasing agency for 167,000 square feet of office space at Radio Tower, a newly developed, mixed-use tower in Washington Heights on behalf of Youngwoo & Associates (YWA). The Avison Young team will be spearheaded by Martin Cottingham and will include Arthur Mirante, formerly of Avison Young, in an advisory capacity.
“Properties like Radio Tower don’t come along every day, and to see how the community has already embraced the development has shown us that YWA has once again delivered on their vision for the community,” said Cottingham.
The stacked, multi-colored building replaced a gas station at the corner of 181st Street and Amsterdam Avenue and brings multiple firsts to the neighborhood. It will be the first, class A office/mixed-use building constructed in Washington Heights, will bring 5G connectivity to the area, and has brought 200-plus new luxury hotel rooms to the area.
