Fusion Energy Company Inks Lease at Irvine Industrial Facility
TAE Technologies, a private fusion energy research company, has leased a 100,000-square-foot industrial property, currently under construction in Irvine, CA. Kidder Mathews’ Senior Vice President Oliver Ternate represented the tenant in the lease, while JLL’s Steve Wagner, Louis Tomaselli and Zach Niles represented the landlord, LBA Logistics.
TAE is one of the most generously funded technology ventures in Orange County as it works towards its mission to develop and commercialize nuclear fusion, a safe and sustainable source of clean energy. The company is planning on building a sixth-generation research reactor called Copernicus in the new building.
The Class A building, scheduled for completion in April 2023, is part of a 26-acre industrial property near the intersection of Irvine Boulevard and Alton Parkway. LBA Logistics purchased the two-building complex in 2016, renovated one of the buildings and razed the second where the new facility is now being constructed.
