SVN Chicago Commercial arranged a lease for a new restaurant concept that will replace the former Beacon Tavern in Chicago's Near North

New Restaurant Concept Comes to Near North Neighborhood

Leslie Karr and Lorile Herlihy of SVN Chicago Commercial recently negotiated the 10-year lease of a new restaurant, Lady May, a Garrett Hospitality Group concept, a 405 N. Wabash in downtown Chicago’s Near North neighborhood. They represented the landlord and were the only brokers involved in the transaction.

The “Eatery & Cocktail Parlor” serving Southern coastal fare replaces the Beacon Tavern. The bi-level, 6,700-square-foot space features river views and is situated steps from Michigan Avenue, Wrigley Plaza and NBC Towers.

The property will also feature a Chicago outpost of the Michelin-starred omakase concept Sushi|Bar, which reportedly has become one of the country’s most sought-after dining experiences. It’s set to open in late 2022.
