JCA Completes Color Factory Build-Out at Willis Tower
J.C. Anderson (JCA) completed an interior build-out for the immersive art museum Color Factory, now open to the public at Willis Tower. With locations in Houston and New York, the 24,000-square-foot space is Color Factory’s largest venue and flagship location, establishing its growth from a pop-up experience.
“With such an imaginative and highly visual and sensory end result, meticulous attention to detail was necessary,” said JCA VP John Angelovich. “Through rigorous pre-planning and ongoing communication between artists from around the world, scenic vendors, and subcontractors, we were able to successfully execute in a tight timeframe with unique expectations.”
In total, JCA built 10 unique galleries that incorporated 117 different paint colors and installed a ball pit containing 200,000 balls to invite visitors to participate with the art. The construction team was led by Angelovich, project manager Cameron Helfogt and superintendent Darrel Panfil.
