Affordable Senior Housing Community Breaks Ground in Pasadena
BRIDGE Housing, a nonprofit developer, owner and manager of affordable housing, has begun construction of Heritage Square South, a supportive housing project in Pasadena, CA for extremely low-income seniors who have experienced homelessness. The groundbreaking was marked by a July 6th celebration attended by several Southern California dignitaries.
Heritage Square South, built by award-winning general contracting firm R.D. Olson Construction, is scheduled to be completed in late 2023, and will provide 70 permanent residences in a community that will feature 24-hour security, an outdoor courtyard and a community room. Case management services will be provided by Union Station Homeless Services.
“We’re proud to collaborate on developments like Heritage Square South that help people thrive and deliver tangible solutions to the housing and homelessness crisis,” said BRIDGE Housing President and CEO Ken Lombard.
Financial partners in the project include the City of Pasadena, Wells Fargo Bank, JLL Real Estate Capital and the California Tax Credit Allocation Committee.
