Urban Innovations Promotes Two to GM, VP of Accounting 

Urban Innovations (UI) promoted Joi Harrell to general manager and Fabian Ratulowski to VP of accounting. These moves reinforce UI’s operations and financial strategy as the Chicago-based company expands its property management and development portfolio in key submarkets in Chicago and Milwaukee. 

Harrell, who joined UI in 2016 as an assistant property manager, now oversees the daily operations of UI’s portfolio of commercial properties spanning more than one million square feet of brick-and-timber loft office structures and retail properties with modernized improvements in Chicago’s River North neighborhood and ever-developing Westown. 

Since starting with UI in 2017, Ratulowski has been responsible for directing the company’s fiscal functions, including financial reporting and financial planning & analysis. Leveraging his experience in public accounting, he will continue improving the company’s financial strategy in his new role through capitalization of opportunities in process improvements throughout the organization.
