LCMQO Becomes California’s First LGBT-Certified Aggregate Supplier
Hinkley-based Lynx Cat Mountain Quarry Operations (LCMQO) has become the first aggregate supplier in the state to be certified Lesbian, Gay, Transgender and Bisexual Business Enterprises (LGBTBE) by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). The certification is valid for three years and will let LCMQO help state agencies meet new LGBTBE goals in California.
In addition, the company received certifications for Minority Business Enterprises and Woman Business Enterprises. LCMQO is now eligible to participate in supplier diversity programs for road builders, utility companies and transportation contractors as well as local government and state agencies.
“I am excited to receive these certifications, and just in time for Pride Month,” said LCMQO’s President, Gina Zatica. “LGBT women and minorities have historically struggled to break into this industry, and I am honored to be the first aggregate supplier to obtain CPUC’s LGBTBE certification.”
