Two Frisco Hotels Picked Up by Lone Star Funds
The Westin Stonebriar Golf Resort & Spa and the Sheraton Stonebriar have been purchased by Lone Star Funds. Within walking distance of each other, the two are located in Frisco, just outside the Plano city limits. Both hotels were owned by Western Securities.
Built in 2000, the Westin Stonebriar has 302 rooms, a spa, restaurant and corporate meeting space. It closed down for a brief time in order to go through an extensive, $30 million renovation, reopening in 2020.
Built in 2007, the Sheraton Stonebriar has 168 guest rooms and recently underwent a $3 million renovation of all its public spaces.
The two hotels are valued at more than $40 million for property taxes.
