Prologis Chicago Performs Day of Service at Inspiration Kitchens
As a part of Prologis’ global day of service, dozens of Chicago team members recently volunteered at Inspirations Kitchens in the Garfield Park neighborhood on Chicago’s West Side.
Their service consisted of cleaning up debris and garbage from outside, preparing the garden for planting of vegetables — which they use for meals at Inspiration Kitchens — and cleaning and organizing two inside storage areas.
IMPACT Day, as it’s known, is a big part of Prologis’ focus of giving back to the communities where its teams live and work. It highlights how they bring the core values of Integrity, Mentorship, Passion, Accountability, Courage and Teamwork (IMPACT) to life.
Since 2011, Inspiration Kitchens has trained homeless Chicagoans for careers in foodservice. It has placed graduates in more than 650 jobs.
