Coveted Downtown Dallas Lot Picked Up by Prominent Apartment Developer
The last time Dallas residents saw any action at 2727 Turtle Creek was in 2019 when it imploded as part of the demolition process of what was then the home of Republic Insurance. Since then, vacant. Colorado-based UDR recently purchased the five acre parcel. The company has more than 3,800 North Texas apartments in nearly 12 area properties. Nationally, the company has 160 communities in 13 states.
In its marketing of the project, JLL had this about the potential of the site, “The mixed-use development is the sought-after midpoint for prominent business sectors, choice entertainment districts and exclusive neighborhoods.”
The site is near Turtle Creek, Reverchon Park, Katy Trail, Highland Park and the Mansion at Turtle Creek. So far, UDR has not disclosed plans for the parcel.
