Monroe Capital Adds Investments Veteran as Managing Director
Gila Cohen has joined Chicago-based Monroe Capital as managing director, head of global institutional partnerships, based in New York. She will be responsible for new initiatives to expand Monroe’s global footprint, among institutional investors, focusing on the firm’s high-growth opportunistic and real estate private credit areas.
Prior to Monroe, Cohen was chief investment strategy officer of MUFG (USA), and was responsible for advising, directing, and governing the strategic alternatives investment portfolio, as well as playing a strategic role in the firmwide mission’s for ESG and DEI.
“Gila has an accomplished career of over 25 years of experience in alternative investments focusing on global institutional investors and capital formation,” said Ted Koenig, chairman and CEO of Monroe Capital. “She brings with her many long-term relationships and much experience across the globe.
