MC Communities Adds to Tucson’s Multifamily Offerings

MC Communities and a global institutional investor have partnered to develop a Tucson-area multifamily project. The Scottsdale-based investor of multifamily projects hopes to have 156 new units built and leased by fourth quarter 2023. The project, to be called Arroyo Verde, will be on 9 acres just north of Tucson. Development costs are expected to top out at $39.6 million.

Tucson rents have gone up faster than most communities and MC Communities founder Ross McCallister, who lives in Tucson, knows the demand for quality rental units is there, “We have seen Arizona’s need for multifamily housing up close and personal and are extremely excited for this opportunity to deliver a new round of high-quality, in-demand product within our home state.”

Arroyo Verde will offer 7 floor plans ranging from 764 square feet to 1,408 square feet and will have a resort-style pool with cabanas and barbecue stations, a resident gathering room, clubhouse and a fitness center. MC expects to begin leasing at Arroyo Verde by the end of June of this year.
