Semiconductor Maker Quadruples Space in Move to Sherwood
Semiconductor manufacturer NSI will expand its production capacity with a move to Tualatin-Sherwood Corporate Park in Sherwood, OR. The company, a division of German engineering firm Exyte, signed a 10-year lease for 62,000 square feet of manufacturing and headquarters space at the park, developed by Trammell Crow Company and Modlo.
The move to expand capacity comes in response to a growing trend of Fab expansions,
increasing demand and increasing capital equipment expenditures from the semiconductor industry in recent years.
“Currently we occupy two buildings with a total of 15,000 square feet of manufacturing,” said Kyle Kimmerle, president of NSI. “Our new location will allow us to dramatically increase our throughput to meet our customers’ growing needs. This multiple million‐dollar investment shows NSI’s
commitment to growing with our customers.”
Stu Peterson with Macadam Forbes Commercial Real Estate represented ownership. Expected occupancy in the new facility and headquarters is fourth quarter of 2022.
