Construction Begins on Memorial City Class A Office Tower in Houston

MetroNational, the Houston-based, privately-held real estate investment, development, and management company, has begun construction for a Class A office building at 9753 Katy Freeway, situated at the southwest corner of Katy Freeway and Bunker Hill.

The luxury high-rise development, 9753 Katy Freeway, completes a new mixed-use urban development, offering tenants a mix of nearby restaurants, hotels, retail and entertainment. The new office building is projected for completion in the second quarter of 2023. As the newest addition, office tower will be part of the Memorial City’s evolving 10 million square-foot campus.

Designed by Kirksey Architecture, the 190,000 square-foot, contemporary 9-story Class A office building features a two-story lobby with a 27-foot art wall. 9753 Katy Freeway is part of the 4-acre mixed-use development project that also includes The McKinley, a luxury residential tower that is the tallest multi-family tower west of Uptown Houston.

About Erik Hamilton

Erik Hamilton, who has more than 15 years in CRE journalism, is a former staff writer with the Los Angeles Times and the Orange County Business Journal. In addition to The Times and the OCBJ, he was also a reporter and editor for Crittenden Research, The San Bernardino Sun and UPI. Erik also worked six years in CRE public relations with Los Angeles-based Hoyt Organization, where he was a Senior Account Executive. He later joined Lee & Associates where he served as the Director of Corporate Communications. There ,in addition to his work with Lee’s CEO, he managed 57 offices nationwide and provided PR, social media and media training for the offices. A graduate of UC Irvine, with a BA in history, he is an avid record collector where he continues to search for a rare Joy Division single.
