Portland Developer Brings Five New Buildings to Apartment Project
Multifamily residential project Northbound 30 Collaborative, located in NW Portland, which consists of eight buildings, will soon have five new buildings added to it, according to the Portland Business Journal. The development is at a site that formerly housed Royal Oak Metal Craft.
The project is located near Northwest 30th Avenue and Northwest Nicolai Street. Each of the 13 buildings will reportedly have less than 20 apartments. As a result, the development does not have to act in accordance with Portland’s inclusionary housing requirements. They state that any residential projects with at least 20 units must offer a percentage of the new units at asking rents that are affordable for households that are at 80 percent of the median family income or below the median income.
The firms Jones Architecture, Leeb Architects and Waechter Architecture will be working with local developer Noel Johnson on the project.
