Ivanhoé Cambridge and Greystar Break Ground on Mixed-Use Development in Austin

Ivanhoé Cambridge, a Canadian-based investment and real estate developer, and Greystar, have broken ground on the office component of 1121 at Symphony Square, a mixed-use development in downtown Austin.

The seven-story, 170,000-square-foot officer building will also include 5,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space on the ground level. The building was designed by R2L:Architects with interiors from Austin-based Page. Ivanhoé Cambridge and Greystar expect 1121 to be ready for occupancy in the spring of 2023.

Located at the corner of 12th and Red River Streets, 1121 at Symphony Square will be near the Austin Innovation District, across the street from the Waterloo Park and Moody Amphitheater. In addition to the office building, the development will include a 32-story residential tower, The Waller, which is already under construction.
