Jair Lynch, JBG SMITH Team Up to Plant Farmers Market near Nationals Stadium
Jair Lynch Real Estate Partners in partnership with JBG SMITH are bringing a farmers market to Half Street SE, the iconic Washington Nationals ballpark and entertainment destination in DC’s Ward 8. The mixed-use streetscape, in development for several years, will open on May 7 and feature more than 30 produce and food vendors as well as vendors of specialty and prepared goods.
Jair Lynch and JBG SMITH have selected Central Farm Markets to manage this new market in the burgeoning Capitol Riverfront community.
“In a time when our country is still grappling with the impact of the pandemic, we believe it’s important to provide more opportunity for small businesses to succeed,” said Anthony Startt, director of investments for Jair Lynch. “The partnership with Central Farm Markets will help farmers, crafters, and small businesses reach new customers while providing fresh, local, and sustainable food and products to a neighborhood known for its love of food, entertainment, and sports.”
