Clean Tech Firm Buys Manufacturing Facility After Leasing
A Galesburg, IL clean technology concern for the construction industry has bought its factory space at 2900 W. Main St. after many years of leasing the property, according to the Galesburg Register-Mail.
Records show in the Knox County Assessment Office that Intelihot bought the property from Building 4, LLC for $1.3 million on Feb. 8.
Intellihot built the factory in Galesburg in collaboration with the city of Galesburg and the non-profit Human Links Foundation, which works to set up sustainable agricultural communities. In a statement, the company said it has experienced rapid growth in the 11 years since it set up the factory and plans a $50 million expansion.
“When we set up our factory in Galesburg in 2011, the vision was to bring high-tech sustainable jobs to the Midwest,” said Intellihot founder and CEO, Sridhar Deivasigamani. “With this expansion, we are in for the long haul, and we expect to put Galesburg at the center of the clean technology revolution in helping to fight climate change.”
