Woodfield Development to Build Multifamily within $300M Downtown Nexton
Isle of Palms, SC-based Woodfield Development has closed on 10.5 acres and expects to break ground in the coming weeks on The Ames, a 305-unit residence within the Downtown Nexton development. A $300-million, urban-inspired mixed-use project, Downtown Nexton is about 31 minutes northwest of Charleston in Nexton, SC.
The Ames will offer a mix of studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom units. The community will feature a resort-style pool with full lap lanes and tanning shelves, a courtyard, grill stations and a 1,500-square-foot pool cabana with bar area.
Downtown Nexton is situated on nearly 100 acres and will provide retail, dining, hospitality, residential, service, office and commercial options within walking distance of many of Nexton’s neighborhoods. In addition to The Ames, Downtown Nexton’s first phase will include a mixed-use building with loft apartments above ground-level retail and several outparcels.
The master developer of Downtown Nexton is Sharbell Nexton, LLC.
