American Landmark Scoops Up Eighth Multifamily in Charlotte

American Landmark Apartments has acquired the Delaney Apartments in Concord, a suburb to the northeast of Charlotte, NC, and renamed the 240-unit property The Elliott. The transaction marks The Elliott as American Landmark’s eighth multifamily community in the Charlotte metro area.

“Greater Charlotte’s job growth outlook is extremely positive, and we anticipate a lot of in-migration from other parts of the country this year, as in prior years —hence, intensifying demand for well-located and well-managed apartment communities with the full range of resort-style amenities,” said Christine DeFilippis, chief investment officer of American Landmark.

The 2010-constructed property on MBA Court is minutes from I-85 and Davidson Highway, across the street from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and 30 minutes from downtown Charlotte and major employment drivers.

She supported two membership-elected presidents who were commercial real estate practitioners, and managed the communications initiatives of the organization’s commercial special interest group. When not following the latest commercial real estate news, Lisa is zeroed in on her charismatic off-the-track thoroughbred as she makes the transition from an utterly failed racehorse to a lovely show hunter.
