Former Tacoma News Tribune Site Gives Way to Logistics
A $28.096 construction loan was recently secured for Tacoma Central Logistics, a speculative industrial development. The to-be-built industrial building located at 1950 South State St. in Tacoma will total 248,000 square feet.
The site was previously occupied by the Tacoma News Tribune. The former building has been demolished and the new building will feature 36-foot clear height, 183 auto stalls, four grade-level doors, 56 dock doors and 50 trailer parking stalls.
The transaction was structured with a three-year interest-only term. Northmarq arranged financing for the borrower through its relationship with a national bank. Scott Moline, vice president of Northmarq’s Seattle office, and Bob Spiro, senior vice president/managing director, collaborated to secure the loan.
