CoStar Corporate Campus in Richmond, VA

CoStar to Expand Current Richmond Location into $460M Corporate Campus

CoStar Group, Inc., is planning an expansion of its research and technology center in Richmond, VA into a $460-million corporate campus that according to published reports will generate $2,000 jobs.

The expansion involves 750,000 square feet of area within two new buildings that combined with CoStar Group’s current building on 5th Street will create a campus of over more than million square feet. The campus is expected to include a new 26-story office tower and a new six-story, mass timber multipurpose building.

Plans for the campus hub include conference space, fitness and wellness amenities, an auditorium, 50,000 square feet of occupiable green roof terraces, retail, restaurants and dining options and nearly three acres of outdoor green space.

The new facility will centralize CoStar Group’s technology, research, operations and sales staff. Teams based in Richmond will work in evolving areas such as advanced drone imagery, 3D visualization, forecasting, machine learning, econometrics and photogrammetry.
