Grocery Outlet Fills La Quinta Void Left by Ralph’s
A newly opened Grocery Outlet now anchors the La Quinta Village Shopping Center located at Washington Street and Calle Tampico in La Quinta, according to SRS Real Estate Partners. The 21,000-square-foot grocery store replaces a vacant location formerly occupied by Ralph’s, which closed in 2014.
SRS’ Garrett Colburn, Townsand Cropsey and McCall Huske represented Grocery Outlet in its 120-month lease in the 75,051-square-foot shopping center at the entrance to La Quinta Cove neighborhood at the base of the Santa Rosa Mountains. The landlord, LQ Investments LP, was assisted by Paul Bernard with Realty Advisors.
“This location checked a lot of boxes for the grocer. Grocery Outlet targets trade areas with abundant rooftops surrounding sites that have little to no discount competitors in the immediate area,” said Colburn.
This transaction represents the fifth Grocery Outlet in the Greater Palm Springs area, with another opening soon in Twentynine Palms, according to SRS Newport Beach which represents Grocery Outlet in San Bernardino County and Riverside County. Additional stores in the region are in Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs, Cathedral City, Bermuda Dunes and Yucca Valley, while another location in Twentynine Palms is slated for late 2022.
