Anthony Dilweg

Duke Footballer Turned CRE Owner Named to ACC Honors Class of 2021

Anthony Dilweg, former Duke University quarterback and founder of Durham-based Dilweg real estate investment firm, was honored prior to kickoff of the ACC 2021 championship game in Charlotte.

Delwig started all 11 games as a senior in 1988 and produced the top single-season quarterback performance in Duke history while being named ACC Player of the Year. He went on to play in the NFL for three years and served as quarterback for the Green Bay Packers — the same team his legendary grandfather played for from 1927-1934.

Anthony went on to become a real estate expert and founded Dilweg. Since its beginnings in 1999, the firm has acquired more than $1.34 billion in asset value and more than 11.1 million square feet throughout the Southeast. In recent years, the firm has focused on acquisitions of Class-A office buildings in Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville, Tampa and Raleigh-Durham metros.

About Lisa McDuffie

Lisa McDuffie arrives at ConnectCRE via REALTOR® world, where she served for nearly two decades as communications director for one of the nation’s largest REALTOR® organizations. She supported two membership-elected presidents who were commercial real estate practitioners, and managed the communications initiatives of the organization’s commercial special interest group. When not following the latest commercial real estate news, Lisa is zeroed in on her charismatic off-the-track thoroughbred as she makes the transition from an utterly failed racehorse to a lovely show hunter.
