Abbott Appoints Darlene Fairchild to TX Real Estate Broker Lawyer Committee

Gov. Greg Abbott recently appointed Darlene Fairchild to the Texas Real Estate Broker Lawyer Committee for a term set to expire August 31, 2027. The Texas Real Estate Broker Lawyer Committee drafts and revises all contracts disseminated by the Texas Real Estate Commission.

Fairchild is an agency underwriter for University Title Company where she assists customers in navigating curative issues, works closely with underwriting attorneys, and assists the closing services department with curative and title questions. She has spent more than 30 years in the title industry and is a lifetime member of the Texas Land Title Association and member of the Texas Land Title Association Regulatory Committee.

Lisa Brown has decades of experience in corporate communications and marketing management with organizations including Coldwell Banker Residential, Grubb & Ellis, Marcus & Millichap, NAIOP, SIOR and ALM. In those positions, she worked in conjunction with chief executive officers and chief marketing officers to create corporate messaging, cohesive branding standards, strategic marketing plans and thought pieces. Brown is a frequent speaker at industry events and an editing adjunct professor for an online course. She has a master’s degree in mass communications from San Jose State University.
