Vintage 1917 Office in Boston’s Seaport District to Become Life Science Space
CBRE has arranged the sale of a 59,146-square-foot office/retail property and an adjacent parking lot in Boston’s Seaport District. San Diego-based Phase 3 Real Estate Partners acquired both properties and plans to convert the office building to life science space.
12 Farnsworth Street — which was built in 1917 and renovated in 2016 — is a six-story, brick-and-beam, boutique office building with ground level retail. 11 Sleeper Street, a 0.2-acre parking lot with 27 parking spaces, is located adjacent to the office building.
The properties are within Boston’s Seaport District and directly off Congress Street at the nexus of the Boston submarkets of Fort Point, Seaport and Financial Districts. Both properties are a ten-minute walk to South Station
CBRE arranged the sale on behalf of the seller, BentallGreenOak and secured the financing on behalf of the buyer. CBRE’s Kevin Kennedy and Jonathan Freni are leasing agents for 12 Farnsworth Street.
