Qira Hires Veteran of Yardi and MasterCard as VP of Sales

Qira, a financial services platform created by the merger of Rentigo and HelloRented, hired Michelle Shapiro as VP of sales. Shapiro was formerly the regional director of multifamily sales at Yardi and director of sales and business development at MasterCard.

Along with building and overseeing sales, Shapiro will be responsible for compiling data related to customer and prospect interactions; establish successful support, channel and partner programs with the marketing function; and build Qira’s relationships with developers, property managers and other players in the industry. Her main responsibility will be to triple Qira’s user base over the next six months.

“Michelle brings a wealth of experience and knowledge from her time at Yardi and Mastercard that will be critical to our success,” said Bill Staniford, CEO of Brooklyn-based Qira. “Michelle will be building a national sales team and putting in place the infrastructure and systems to support and ensure sales’ success.”
