Florida’s CP Group Commits to Reduce Carbon Emissions to Net Zero By 2050
Boca Raton, FL-based CP Group has formally committed to reducing carbon emissions to a net-zero level by 2050 at each of its 161 properties throughout the Southeast and Southwest.
“Reducing our carbon footprint is one of the most important initiatives in our ESG program along with promoting broader environmental responsibility and providing a wellness-focused tenant experience across our 15-million-square-foot portfolio,” said CP Group managing partner Angelo Bianco.
CP Group’s initiative adheres to the Urban Land Institute’s Greenprint Center for Building Performance, which aims to mitigate the built environment’s impact on climate change through measurement, benchmarking, knowledge sharing and best practices.
In addition to achieving net-zero carbon operations by 2050, ULI members agree to take steps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50 percent by 2030.
CP Group has also implemented a partnership with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR® Program and achieved WELL Health-Safety Rating for five of its Atlanta office buildings.
