Remote Work Fuels Cloud/Unified Communications
Frost & Sullivan’s recent analysis finds that remote working realities fueled by the pandemic have triggered unprecedented demand for cloud software communications, collaboration services and handsfree devices. Globally, the professional headset market is estimated for more than two-fold growth, reaching $4.44 billion by 2027 from $1.98 billion in 2020, expanding at a 12.2 percent compound annual growth rate (CAGR).
Personal computer universal serial bus and unified communications, along with collaboration headsets will drive the overall market. These components are likely to garner $4.36 billion revenue during the forecast period, registering growth at a CAGR of 14.9 percent.
“With the pandemic reinforcing the paradigm shift toward work from anywhere or hybrid/flexible working, new usage scenarios have proliferated across multiple industries including healthcare, education and government, thereby creating long-term opportunities for professional headsets,” says Alaa Saayed, director, information and communication technology at Frost & Sullivan.
