Luxury Rentals Reach Full Lease-Up at Essex Crossing

Delancey Street Associates, the joint venture developing the nine-site Essex Crossing mega-project, said Friday that the 142 luxury rentals at The Artisan at Essex Crossing are fully leased less than a year after hitting the market. Located at 180 Broome St., the Artisan is the largest building in the development.

At the same time, One Essex Crossing, which launched sales in January with 83 luxury condominiums, has 17 signed contracts totaling $41.7 million. And the project’s first condo building, 242 Broome, sold the last of its 55 luxury apartments in February.

“Our success at the Artisan and One Essex Crossing shows just how resilient the overall development has been through the pandemic, and that both Essex Crossing and neighborhood remain among the most desirable in the city for renters and buyers alike,” said Ben Baccash, VP at Taconic Partners, who leads development and operations at Essex Crossing.
