“Pioneering” Office Property Trades in Charlotte’s South End
CBRE has arranged the sale of The Refinery, a 105,710-square-foot mixed-use office and retail building in Charlotte, for an undisclosed sum. The Refinery was developed in 2019 by Insite Properties in a partnership with Northridge Capital and is located at 1213 W. Morehead St. within Charlotte’s South End/Midtown submarket.
CBRE’s Patrick Gildea, Matt Smith and Grayson Hawkins represented the seller. A CBRE Southeast Institutional Debt & Structured Finance Team lead by Harris Ralston and C.J. Kelly represented the undisclosed buyer in the debt financing.
“Investor interest remains as strong as ever for high-quality, new construction assets in the Carolinas, particularly those with no near-term rollover risk,” said Gildea. “The Refinery was a pioneering development, which has become the ‘front-door’ to one of the most exciting emerging markets in Charlotte.”
