Matan Plans Four-Building Spec Industrial on Manassas Site

Matan Companies closed on its purchase of 11501 University Blvd. in Manassas, VA, a 47.5-acre property in Prince William County’s I-66 corridor. Deal terms weren’t disclosed. The company plans to develop 462,000 square feet of speculative industrial across four buildings.

To be known as Redstone Industrial, the property is located in the Data Center Overlay District with M-1 zoning, which means potential users could range from data centers to biotech and a variety of industrial uses as well.

“With a successful initial foray into the Manassas market with Parkway 66 on Cushing Road, we are excited to keep that momentum going as we finalize our approvals and look to begin construction at the beginning of the 2nd quarter of 2022 at Redstone,” said Jamie Minkler, director of acquisitions for Matan. The developer anticipates delivering the shell buildings in Q1 2023.
