Ariel Lists Landmarked Apartments in Hamilton Heights
Ariel Property Advisors has listed the Ivey Delph Apartments at 13-19 Hamilton Terr. in Manhattan for $19.5 million. Designed by renowned architect Vertner Woodson Tandy, the first licensed Black architect in New York, the 78-unit, nationally landmarked building sits in the historic Hamilton Heights neighborhood.
The Ariel team leading the sale includes EVP Victor Sozio, president Shimon Shkury, EVP Michael A. Tortorici, and director Matthew L. Gillis.
The six-story building was originally developed by real estate trailblazer Dr. Walter Ivey Delph. It was the first Black apartment project to be backed by a Federal Housing Administration mortgage.
“This property is located on one of Hamilton Heights’ most coveted and historic blocks,” said Sozio. “As the greater West Harlem area continues its appreciation, these historic apartments offer a significant footprint that bridges the city’s rich past and ascendant future.”
