Stockbridge Has Sustainability in Mind with Origin Branding Effort
Stockbridge recently completed the $1.5 million renovation of Origin (formerly Escondido Business Center), a 13-building 255,769-square-foot industrial park located at 500-938 S. Andreasen Dr. in Escondido. Redesigned in partnership with Clear Signs, Certa Painting and Pacific Green Landscaping, the renovation and branding effort of Origin included an environmental signage and graphics package, and sustainable landscaping.
In addition to the recent renovations, the property features dock-high and grade-level loading, move-in ready industrial suites, strategic location along the I-15 and SR-78 Freeways, institutional ownership, ample parking and onsite deli.
Karley Megrew of JLL is the property manager, and JLL’s Chris Baumgart and Steven Field are leading the leasing efforts at Origin. The property can accommodate users ranging from 1,300 to 20,000 square feet.
“The North San Diego industrial and flex market continues to see high demand, with more than 271,000 square feet of positive net absorption in the second quarter of 2021,” said Baumgart. “Escondido, specifically, has been very tight with less than 3 percent vacancy and limited new development, causing rents to surpass records set back in mid-2000s.”
