Longtime Student Housing Stalwart Ted W. Rollins Passes at 58
Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Valeo Groupe, Ted W. Rollins passed away on August 15th after a 10-month battle with cancer. Rollins was 58.
Rollins had a hand in building up the multinational, vertically-integrated housing company with interests spanning the UK, Ireland, Spain, Scandinavia and the United States. Rollins and the team at Valeo built a student housing portfolio of more than 51,000 beds with 22,500,000 square feet in four brands over a 14-year period and have been involved in the development of over 800 beds with 650,000 square feet of senior housing over the last 3-years since entering the senior living space.

“Ted was a force of nature, someone who refused to accept no as an answer, someone who would give you the shirt off his back, someone who would frustrate you to no end and at the same time push you to incredible new heights you never imagined possible,” said Valeo Groupe in a statement. “He had vision, he had drive, and he had a world of people, experiences, and love that made his life meaningful and impactful beyond measure.”
Rollins was born in 1962 in Wilmington, DE. and is survived by his wife Holly Rollins and children Sarah Rollins, Emma Rollins and stepsons Eric Parrish, Zac Parrish and Ethan Matheson as well as grandson Samuel White.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ted Rollins Eco Scholarship fund.
