100 Stockton Rooftop Lease is Linchpin for Union Square Redevelopment
A recent lease at 100 Stockton comes as Blatteis & Schnur Inc. is finalizing construction on the redevelopment of a key Union Square corner. This redevelopment will revitalize the intersection of Stockton and O’Farrell.
Blatteis & Schnur recently executed a lease with restaurant Chotto Matte for a rooftop dining experience at 100 Stockton. The restaurant will be launching in San Francisco in 2022, marking the brand’s first West Coast location.
Chotto Matte will occupy the newly developed rooftop restaurant and wraparound terrace atop 100 Stockton. Designed by Gensler, the redevelopment of the former Macy’s Men’s department store features a terra cotta and glass façade, and more than 250,000 square feet of mixed-use space on eight levels. Its design has been dubbed “Miami’s most visually stunning new restaurant” by Thrillist.
Kurt Zdesar, Chotto Matte’s owner and founder, will bring his dining experience originally founded in London to San Francisco. Chotto Matte celebrates authentic Nikkei cuisine, which is a blend of Japanese and Peruvian culinary traditions.
Designed by Andy Martin Architecture, the Chotto Matte space is more than 14,000 square feet.
Chotto Matte is being represented by Mike Rielly of RRS. Kazuko Morgan of Cushman & Wakefield and Ashley Brown of Blatteis & Schnur Inc. represented the landlord in the transaction.
