Urban Innovations Adds Air-Purification Technology Across Portfolio
Chicago-based developer Urban Innovations Ltd is installing needlepoint bipolar ionization technology across its portfolio. The ongoing installation is scheduled to be completed by mid-September.
These air-purification devices are designed to improve indoor air quality by releasing charged ions that effectively eliminate harmful substances such as: airborne particles from viruses, including COVID-19; smoke; dust; mold; bacteria; and odors.
“As Chicagoans head back to the office, their return should be to an environment designed with care – a space where tenants can feel secure and confident in the workplace,” said Roy Endsley, VP of property management for Urban Innovations. “We are building for a better tomorrow, and making the investment needed to ensure our tenants have a safe and healthy office building to come back to.”
The company is currently pursuing the WELL Health-Safety Rating for all of its buildings, through the International WELL Building Institute.
