AERO is First For-Lease Property in Alameda Point Waterfront District

Cypress Equity Investments recently unveiled its newest residential community, AERO Apartments, the first for-lease residential community in the Alameda Point Waterfront District, according to Michael Sorochinsky, the firm’s founder and CEO. AERO Apartments occupies an entire block and features retail and residential along its perimeter.

The planned architecture for the 200-residence community is reminiscent of the hangars and industrial buildings of the former naval airbase. The multifamily community was designed by local architecture firm, PYATOK architecture + urban planning.

“AERO draws upon the signature forms and materials of the historic Alameda Naval Air Station,” says Kevin Markarian, principal. “The building’s massing and recesses were designed to echo the rhythms of the well-patinaed naval hangars.”

Located at 2000 Ardent Way, AERO Apartments offers 200 pet-friendly apartments across studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom configurations.
