Swig Achieves WELL Ratings for Nearly 8M SF of Office Space
The Swig Company recently obtained WELL Health-Safety Ratings through the International WELL Building Institute for the majority of its national portfolio of multitenant office buildings. This means the WELL rating is now a feature in almost 8 million square feet of office space owned by The Swig Company in New York, Los Angeles and the Bay Area.
The buildings include the Mills Building at 220 Montgomery and 501 Second St. in San Francisco as well as buildings owned in partnership such as the Grace Building in New York.
“The WELL certification that we’ve now achieved portfolio-wide reinforces our commitment to long term health and safety for our staff and tenants as well as visitors to our buildings,” said Connor Kidd, executive vice president and director of asset management, The Swig Company.
In addition to WELL Health-Safety ratings, most buildings in the portfolio carry LEED and EnergyStar certifications and The Swig Company is constantly evaluating best practices in sustainability, health and safety.
“We believe the real estate community has a responsibility to minimize the environmental impact of the built environment and its contribution to climate change. At The Swig Company, we are deeply committed to the ongoing reduction of our carbon footprint while providing optimal environments for the health and wellness of our building occupants,” said Jim Carbone, CEO, The Swig Company.
