Porsche and Volvo Rev into Industry City Showroom Space
Porsche and Volvo have signed leases to operate showrooms and service centers out of Industry City, the 16-building, six-million-square-foot Brooklyn campus owned by Belvedere Capital, Jamestown, and Angelo, Gordon & Co.
“Creativity and design are the heart of IC, and these showrooms will display each manufacturers’ latest inventions— from the innovation at the forefront of green engineering to the latest, cutting-edge auto designs,” said Jim Somoza, director of development at Industry City
Porsche will operate an approximately 10,000-square-foot showroom, and 30,000-square-foot service center. The new space is anticipated to open next Janaury.
Volvo will create roughly 20,000 square feet of showroom and service center space, which will showcase the company’s range of standard, electric and hybrid vehicles. The showroom and service center is anticipated to open in September.
Industry City was represented by Somoza. Both Porsche and Volvo were represented by EVP Esther Bukai of Ripco Real Estate.
