RXR Brings in Philip McAndrews as Strategy Lead

RXR Realty has brought on Philip McAndrews as chief strategy officer (CSO) and senior EVP. Serving as RXR’s first CSO, McAndrews will lead strategic growth initiatives geographically and through diversification.

Before joining RXR, McAndrews previously served as CIO at TIAA’s global real estate business and at Aegon Asset Management. While at TIAA, now Nuveen, a TIAA Company, McAndrews grew the global real estate portfolio from $40 billion to $90 billion. At Aegon, McAndrews served as head of real estate equity.

“I have worked with Scott and Mike as both a partner and lender over a 25-year time horizon and have held them as well as the RXR brand in high esteem for their integrity and real estate acumen,” said McAndrews. “I am excited to come on board to help them shape innovative and contemporary investment strategies while we expand the capabilities and geographical footprint of the business.”
