Amazon Snags Former Movie Theater in Revere for $50M

Amazon has acquired a former movie theater in Revere, MASS. The sales price was $49.8 million, according to Suffolk County land records.

Located at 565 Squire Road, the former 10-screen, 102,000-square-foot movie theater closed in December. The property sits less than 10 miles from Boston and is surrounded by a large parking lot. Amazon currently operates a 830,000-square-foot warehouse two miles away from the site.

Amazon currently only owns a handful of its more than 20 industrial facilities in Massachusetts.
